The version of Prototype that currently ships with Rails has some problems in Safari. Use Firefox to run the samples or upgrade to the latest version of Prototype 1.5.
This screencast assumes that you know what Javascript is and have used the basic features of Prototype.js. You should also be familiar with the basic file layout of a Rails app.
